Store robbed by man wearing a nylon stocking over his face

Advertiser Staff

A store clerk was robbed early this morning by a man who entered a Honolulu store wearing a nylon stocking over his face.

The man demanded the 57-year-old clerk hand over the money in the cash register during the 4:15 a.m. incident. But when the woman couldn't open the cash register, the man threatened her with a knife and grabbed cigarette packages before fleeing the scene, police said. The incident is being investigated by police. Another woman, 59, witnessed the robbery, police said.
