Early-morning accident leaves man in critical condition

Advertiser Staff

A 61-year-old man who rear-ended a van is in critical condition tonight after an early-morning accident on Farrington Highway, police said.

The 4 a.m. incident occurred on Farrington Highway, 62 feet south east of Heelelua Street in Nanakuli . The driver, who was in a 2009 Izuzu Ascender, rear-ended a 39-year old woman who was stopped at a stop light, police said. The woman was not injured in the collision. The weather was cloudy with passing showers at the time and traffic was light, police said. It is unknown if speed or alcohol were a factor in the incident.
