Emphasis on treasure

The holiday craft fair season gets a jump start with the 26th annual Trash & Treasure Fundraiser Fair, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Manoa Grand Ballroom of the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i.

It's a benefit for Temari, the nonprofit organization that aims to perpetuate Asian and Pacific traditions and contemporary arts.

The artists and crafters are handpicked, and many have been part of the Trash & Treasure tradition from the very beginning. Many sell their creations only at this fair.

If you're a Temari member, you get to enter at 8 a.m.

Admission is free. 536-4566.
