BRING YOUR OWN TAKEOUT CONTAINER

Eco-friendly lunch boxes are not just for the keiki. Ted Baker of Manoa read our story about The Early School's green lunch boxes and shared his solution: a three-section round plastic container with lid by Sterilite (No. 5) at Longs. He found his favorite plate lunch fit perfectly into the reusable container. It took a few days for the folks behind the lunch counter to get comfortable with Baker's lunch box, "but now they're all well-trained and I get the same fill-up as the next guy/gal. No foam, no plastic utensils and no plastic bag."

SAVE THE PLANET

"Canada's water supply is threatened because we pollute it and because we are over-extracting. It's threatened in northern Alberta because we are destroying the water table to produce energy for the United States."
