Adam Miller, artistic director of Cirque du Soleil's "Saltimbanco" spectacle which opens Thursday night at Blaisdell Arena, will conduct a free master class for Ballet Hawaii students from 4:45 to 6:30 p.m. today at Ballet Hawaii, 650 Iwilei Road, second floor.

Miller, who also is artistic director for Eastern Connecticut Ballet, has stellar ballet ties with the School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theatre School and graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts. He has performed with The Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, The Australian Ballet and Joffrey Ballet and has directed, choreographed and taught with an array of ballet companies and festivals across the country.

Intermediate and advanced dance students are eligible to participate.

"Our students will be taking a break from 'Nutcracker' rehearsals to take part in this master class," said Pamela Taylor-Tongg, Ballet Hawaii's artistic director. "It is important for us to be able to showcase visiting companies and artists giving our students the best possible educational experience.
