WAHIAWA
Wahiawa meeting will offer public security tips

The community is invited to a neighborhood security meeting from 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hale Koa Building at Wahiawa District Park.

The meeting is sponsored by Malama O Wahiawa, the nonprofit arm of the Wahiawa Community and Business Association.

The meeting is designed to help residents deal with such personal security issues as con artists, identity theft and home burglaries. Officials from the state Business Registration Division and the Honolulu Police Department will make presentations. Members of HPD's community policing team will also be on hand.

For more information or for help in forming a neighborhood security watch in your area, call Jack Kampfer at 621-5109, ext. 226.
