High surf advisory in effect for all Islands

A high surf advisory remains in effect for the north- and east-facing shores of all islands.

The National Weather Service said surf along north-facing shores will be 10 to 15 feet today will locally higher sets up to 20 feet through today.

The high surf advisory is expected to remain in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.

Surf along east-facing shores was running 5 to 8 feet overnight, and is expected to build to heights of 8 to 12 feet today.

Surf along west-facing shores will drop a bit, from 6 to 10 feet last night to heights of 4 to 6 feet today.

Surf along south-facing shores will be 2 to 4 feet through Wednesday.

Outlook through Monday, Nov. 3: The current short period north swell will slowly lower Thursday into Friday. A smaller short period north swell is expected to arrive by late Friday and linger through the weekend. There will also be series of small southerly swells through the forecast period.
