Work will close part of Nimitz starting tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

Starting tomorrow, Hawaiian Electric contractors will perform utility work on Nimitz Highway, from River Street to Nu'uanu Avenue.

The work will last through Nov. 14, except for Sundays and holidays, HECO said in a press release.

The left lane in the Waikiki-bound direction along Nimitz Highway will be closed in the work area between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays.

Traffic signs and cones will be used to ensure safe access through and around the construction area, and special duty police officers will be on site to provide traffic control.
