Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office today identified the 5-year-old Makaha girl who died Wednesday morning after being found unconscious in her home as Victoria Sanchez.

Autopsy findings for cause and manner of death have been deferred pending lab results. Police have classified the case as an unattended death pending a determination by the medical examiner.

Police are trying to locate the girl's father for questioning about medication he may have given her. There were no visible signs of external injuries, police said.

The girl's mother found her unresponsive in bed shortly before 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
