DICK CONSTRUCTION

Dick Construction Co., a nationally known construction company whose affiliates include Dick Corp., Dick Pacific and Dick International, has completed a restructuring plan, which includes the sale of select assets to a new global construction company dck worldwide, led by President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen D'Angelo.

Gerry Majkut, the former senior vice president and general manager of Dick Pacific, was named executive vice president of operations for dck worldwide.

Roger Peters, executive vice president with Dick Corp. for 32 years, has accepted the position of executive vice president and general manager for dck pacific construction and dck pacific guam.

Dick Pacific, a local construction company founded in 1939 and part of Dick Corp., will complete all its existing work.

JAPANESE CULTURAL CENTER

Marisa Takahashi, former staff member at Hawai'i Medical Service Association and KITV4, has been hired as public relations/membership director by the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawai'i.

ATLAS INSURANCE AGENCY

Atlas Insurance Agency Inc. has appointed Russell Park as senior vice president in its client consulting group, responsible for overseeing the business development, sales and servicing of commercial clients.

HAWAII EMPLOYERS' MUTUAL INSURANCE CO.

Hawaii Employers' Mutual Insurance Co. Inc. has hired David Doehm as senior vice president of production and product development.

Doehm also will be president of HEMIC Insurance Managers Inc., HEMIC's wholly owned subsidiary and managing general agency.

Doehm previously was vice president commercial lines at First Insurance Company of Hawaii and held a similar position with Fairmont Specialty Group.

SUNTECH HAWAII

Suntech Hawaii, the state's largest locally owned solar integrator, has hired Kevin Washington as controller, responsible for managing the company's accounting practices and financial relationships with clients, vendors, and financial services firms.

THE GAS COMPANY

The Gas Company has named Stephanie Ackerman as vice president, public policy and communications. She will direct the company's corporate communications, public relations, government affairs and community outreach programs.

AMERICAN PAYROLL ASSOCIATION

American Payroll Association has announced its new officers for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. They are: president, Jason Daley, Century Computers Inc.; vice president, Leila Kagawa, Automatic Data Processing; secretary, Shari Fujisaki, Ceridian Employer Services; and treasurer, Vicki Walden, Hina Mauka.

The Hawaii Chapter of the APA provides payroll professionals a forum to exchange information, keep abreast of current laws and upcoming changes, support continuing education for the profession, as well as act as liaison with the National APA.

N&K CPAS

N&K CPAs Inc. has announced the promotions of Yi Chen to audit senior, and Cheri Yoshioka to tax staff.

Chen previously held the position of audit staff and joined N&K in June 2007. Yoshioka previously held the position of bookkeeper and joined the firm in August 2005.

The Society for Marketing Professional Services Hawaii Chapter has announced its 2008 board of directors.
