CHINATOWN
Left lane on Nimitz will close during road work

Hawaiian Electric contractors will perform utility work on Nimitz Highway, from River Street to Nu'uanu Avenue, starting today and lasting through Nov. 14, except for Sundays and holidays.

The left lane in the Waikiki-bound direction along Nimitz Highway will be closed in the work area between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays, HECO said in a press release.

Traffic signs and cones will be used to ensure safe access through and around the construction area, and special-duty police officers will be on site to provide traffic control.
