'High School Musical' sequel sings

Mini reviews of new movies from a family perspective

'HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: SENIOR YEAR'

• Rated: G

• What it's about: The kids from East High face the big decisions about their futures as they go through a senior year filled with love, basketball and songs, lots of songs.

• The kid attractor factor: If you don't know, you don't have kids.

• Good lessons/bad lessons: "Being yourself, that's a challenge." "You raised me to make my own choices, and I need to make 'em."

• Violence: None.

• Language: Not just a G, but a Disney G.

• Sex: There is no sex at East High, or sexuality either. A teensy bit of kissing.

• Drugs: Not in this high school.

• Parents' advisory: The Disney Channel's sweet, wholesome and tuneful musical series makes the transition to the big screen without adding even a hint of edge — good news for parents of 12-and-unders.
