NANAKULI
Tree, shrub giveaway Nov. 8 at Kahe plant

As part of its Arbor Day celebration, Hawaiian Electric Co. will give away 2,600 native and exotic trees and shrubs beginning at 7 a.m. Nov. 8 at its Kahe power plant, located at 92-200 Farrington Highway, in Nanakuli.

Those interested are encouraged to come early as plant supplies are expected to be depleted within a couple of hours. A limit of one tree or plant per family will be enforced.

Certified arborists and volunteers will be available for tips on tree and shrub placement. Plant care brochures will also be handed out.

For information about HECO partners involved in the giveaway as well as other locations where the free trees and plants can be picked up from Nov. 6 through 8, visit www.arbordayhawaii.org.
