JAMES "JIM" JOSEPH AYLWARD JR., 74, of Kailua, died Aug. 21, 2008. Born in Dorchester, Mass. Retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel; retired Fort Shafter civilian plans officer. Survived by wife, Janice; sons, Timothy and James III; daughters, Mary Ellen Wolf, Kathleen Queen, Judy Drake and Beth; 17 grandchildren; brother, John; sister, Anne Marie Pontbriand. DAVID MICHAEL PHILLIP KEAMO, 44, of Kapolei, died Aug. 11, 2008. Born in Honolulu. Survived by wife, Maylene; sons, Alika Fitzsimmons, Arthur Fitzsimmons III and Richard Fitzsimmons; daughter, Wendy Fitzsimmons-Kaulia; nine grandchildren; father, David Jr.; mother, Sylvia; brothers, Mark "Moonie" and Michael. EDWARD "EDDIE" MANZANO, 70, of Waipahu, died Aug. 19, 2008. Born in Puhi, Kaua'i. A retired technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, also a mechanic retired from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Shop #06. Survived by son, Edward Jr.; daughters, Edie Frazier, Ellen Manzano and Erin Samson; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Lenora Escobido.
