A joint groundbreaking ceremony for the Prince Kuhio Community Center, the Heritage Center, and the Kapolei Medical Clinic will be held at 2 p.m. today in Kapolei.

The parcel was set aside by the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands for community use as part of the Kapolei Master Plan. It is located mauka of DHHL's Hale Kalaniana'ole Administrative Building on Kapolei Parkway.

The Prince Kuhio Community Center is a project of Hawai'i Maoli, an affiliate of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs. The Kapolei Community Development Corp. is establishing the Heritage Center and Ke Ola Mamo is sponsoring the Kapolei Medical Clinic.
