Jackson Auto closes Nimitz dealership, sells to Honolulu Ford

Advertiser Staff

Honolulu Ford has expanded its lineup of new car brands with the acquisition of a Lincoln and Mercury business on O'ahu.

The company acquired the business from Jackson Auto Group, which closed its dealership at 2945 N. Nimitz Highway on Sunday.

Jackson Auto previously sold its Pontiac dealership based out of the same location to Pflueger Auto Group, which integrated that brand with its dealership selling Cadillac, Hummer, GMC and Buick vehicles at 1234 S. Beretania St.

A line of Isuzu vehicles from Jackson's Nimitz dealership was not picked up by another dealer.

Jackson Auto continues to operate its Volvo dealership at 704 Ala Moana, which it acquired in 2001 from TheoDavies Euromotors Ltd.
