Central Pacific Bank signs new advertising, PR contracts

Central Pacific Bank announced new advertising and public relations contracts with Matsumoto & Clapperton Advertising and Hastings & Pleadwell: A Communication Company.

Matsumoto & Clapperton's other clients include C.S. Wo, Waikiki Beach Walk, Ala Moana Hotel, The Wyland Waikiki, 15 Craigside and Arcadia retirement communities. Craig Matsumoto and Ed Clapperton founded the ad agency in 2000.

Hastings & Pleadwell represents, among others, ALTRES Staffing & HR, Puna Geothermal Venture, First Wind, Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawai'i, Drs. Tyrie Lee Jenkins and Carlos Omphroy and Mary Begier Realty. Barbara Hastings and Barbra Pleadwell founded H&P in 1996.

Both Matsumoto & Clapperton and Hasings & Pleadwell have received significant industry recognition in recent years—MCA from Hawaii Advertising Federation's Pele Awards and Hastings & Pleadwell from the International Association of Business Communicators' Ilima Awards and Public Relations Society of America's Koa Anvil Awards.
