Six gravesites were damaged early Saturday on Kaua'i when a car crashed into St. Catherine's cemetery in Kealia.

A 36-year-old man from Wailua Houselots told police he fell asleep while driving northbound on Kuhi'o Highway at 4:45 a.m. The man's Nissan Sentra crossed the centerline, went airborne over a stone wall and crashed in the cemetery.

The driver was not injured but was cited for driving without a license.
