Camp Sloggett in Koke'e needs help with cleanup

Volunteers are needed to help with an Oct. 3-5 weekend cleanup at the YMCA's Camp Sloggett in Koke'e State Park on Kaua'i.

Families are welcome to help out with the "camp perimeter cleanup effort," camp manager Erik Coopersmith says.

Volunteers can camp for free in tents, in the open or stay in the YMCA's Weinberg Bunkhouse or Sloggett Lodge.

Volunteers are asked to bring tools for overgrowth removal. For information, contact Coopersmith at 808-335-0710.
