Surf: Near advisory levels again today on south shores

Advertiser Staff

A strong south swell is continuing to roll in on south-facing shores of O'ahu, maintaining surf to 5 to 8 feet through today, the National Weather Service said

.

Elsewhere today, expect surf of 3 to 5 feet along west- and north facing shores and 3-6 feet along east-facing shores.

Outlook through Sunday, Sept. 14: A southeast swell will be large enough to maintain surf at or near advisory level of 8 feet for the south facing shores through tonight.

The swell will lower to below advisory level Wednesday and slowly diminish through the rest of the week.

A small north northwest swell will start lowering this afternoon as a northeast swell provides moderate size surf for exposed east and north facing shores over the next few days.
