Weather: Parly cloudy with isolated showers

Advertiser Staff

A weather system north of the islands will keep light to moderate trade winds blowing through Friday, the National Weather Service said.

The trades will back off a bit this weekend, allowing sea breezes to bring clouds and showers to interior areas in the afternoon and evening, forecasters said.

Land breezes will clear out the clouds at night and in the morning. The atmosphere will be stable, so heavy rainfall is not expected.

Here's how the rest of the work week looks at this point:

Today: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind between 8 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday: Isolated showers after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 86. East wind between 8 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
