Drug overdose slows traffic on H-1 near Kalaeloa

Police shut down two east-bound lanes of H-1 Freeway near Kalaeloa about 5:40 a.m. in order to arrest the driver of a van who they believed was high on drugs.
A city ambulance and firefighters were called to the scene to treat the driver for a possible overdose.
The driver was taken into police custody about 5:45 a.m.
