JOVITA G. ABADILLA, 90, of 'Aiea, died Aug. 31, 2008. Born in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. A homemaker. Survived by sister, Annie Sanchez; nephews; nieces. JOSE "JOE" BARBADILLO, 71, of Lana'i, most recently of Las Vegas, died July 13, 2008. Born in Waialua. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran; a retired Dole Co. welder; also Manele Bay Hotel engineering department employee. Survived by wife, Betty; son, Miles; daughters, Conni Mahani, Towane Al-Sulati and Charlene Bacio; brothers, Enosito, Polin, Victor, Greg and Andres; sister, Frances Canderlario; 10 grandchildren. Service 2 p.m. Friday at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

ROSE M. CANTERE, 87, of Anaheim, Calif., formerly of Honolulu, died Sept. 3, 2008. Born in Honolulu. Survived by sons, Reggie, Eugene, Michael and Ivan Celebrado and Nolan Canadilla; daughter, Debbie Tyson; sisters, Mathilda Lastimado and Beatrice Canadilla; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
