NFL: Panthers without LG Wharton against Bears

Associated Press

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers were without left guard Travelle Wharton for Sunday's game against Chicago because of a sprained right knee.

Geoff Hangartner replaced Wharton in the starting lineup.

Wharton was injured in last week's win over San Diego and had been unable to practice since.

Kick returner Ryne Robinson also missed his second straight game as he recovers from a knee injury.

The Bears entered the game without major injury concerns. The team's inactive list did include running back Adrian Peterson, who did not get a carry last week against Indianapolis.

Receiver Mark Bradley was on Chicago's active roster after being deactivated last week.
