Hawaiian Electric Co. volunteers will "Get the Drift & Bag It" at the same-named cleanup this weekend. From 8 a.m. to noon Saturday they'll make their way along a one-mile stretch of beach across from the company's Kahe Point power plant. If it's anything like recent years, they'll collect spare tires and enough parts to build an entire car. Information: Christina Woolaway, 753-3311, www.getthedriftandbagit.com.

"We wanted to tell a technology story and a green story in a modular, sustainable, fully functioning home. It's an icon now. People visiting are saying, 'This is the house I want.'"
