Big Island police are seeking suspect information on a July 6 burglary and also public assistance in locating a missing man.

Both cases occurred in the Puna District's Orchidland subdivision.

Big Island CrimeStoppers yesterday released video surveillance of a possible suspect in the July 6 burglary on 42nd Avenue. The man was wearing a black hat, purple shirt, black pants and carrying a black backpack.

Police in Puna are also trying to locate Kevin Patrick of Orchidland Estates, who was last seen Sept. 8. Patrick is 6 feet, about 210 pounds with hazel eyes and slightly balding blond or brown hair.

Anyone with information on burglary suspect can call Det. Reed Mahuna at 808-961-2384 and Officer Allan Watanabe at 808-966-5835 for the missing person case. Information for both cases can also be provided to the police department's nonemergency line at 808-935-3311 or Big Island CrimeStoppers at 808-961-8300 in Hilo or 808-329-8181 in Kona.
