The Dallas Cowboys' 41-37 win over Philadelphia last night on ESPN was watched in almost 13 million U.S. homes, the biggest audience in cable television history.

The National Football League's Monday night matchup featured a pair of division rivals who combined for 717 yards and seven lead changes. The Cowboys scored the game's final 10 points to remain undefeated at 2-0.

The 12.95 million U.S. homes to watch last night's game on ESPN surpassed cable's previous record of 12.5 million for a Monday night meeting between New England and Baltimore on Dec. 3, 2007, the Walt Disney Co. network said in a statement.
