Maui firefighters today extinguished a wildfire which burned 30 acres near the "Jaws" surf spot in Haiku.

No structures were damaged or injuries reported.

The fire was contained to the makai side of Hana Highway. Rain showers moving through the area this morning helped dampen the ground, fire officials said. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
