Second Ewa Beach robbery suspect arrested

A 19-year-old Waipahu man was arrested by police today as a suspect in a Sept. 5 robbery in 'Ewa Beach.

The arrest was made at 10:20 a.m. at the man's Leonui Street residence. He was booked for second-degree robbery.

The man and a 16-year-old boy, arrested near the robbery scene, allegedly confronted the male victim, 20, after he got off a bus at 1:15 a.m. and demanded money.

The boy allegedly grabbed the victim's backpack. The adult suspect allegedly punched the victim in the left eye and stole his money.
