The Lizard Loft, one of the few small-scale performance venues in Honolulu, is in danger of losing its home in Marks Garage.

The production company has supported theater, music, dance groups, film, comic acts and individual projects for 14 years, the past seven at Marks Garage.

The nonprofit is hosting a Save the Lizard benefit tonight with a variety of performers, including improvisational comedy troupe On the Spot and the Cherry Blossom Cabaret.

The event runs from 8 to 10 p.m. at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. For ticket sales and more information, go to www.lizard-loft.ticketleap.com.
