Survey: Hawaii residents less stressed than national average

Advertiser Staff

A survey by Amway Global Wellness shows Hawai'i residents are less stressed and exercise more than the national average.

The survey of more than 15,000 people nationally found that 27 percent respondents in Hawai'i only reported having a "very" or "somewhat" high stress level. That compared to the national average of 40 percent.

It also found that 18 percent of Hawai'i residents are not exercising regularly for at least 30 minutes. That's less than the national average of 23 percent.

The same survey found 43 percent of state residents aid not getting enough exercise is one of their biggest wellness challenges. About 30 percent said getting enough sleep was a major challenge.
