Doodlebops to visit hospitalized keiki Thursday

The Doodlebops, a candy-hued Canadian trio in town for a series of performances starting Friday at Blaisdell Concert Hall, will give a live show, sign photographs, and bring cheer to the keiki at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children Thursday.

The group, known for their Playhouse Disney TV show, will share tunes and laughter for the hospitalized youngsters at 10 a.m.Thursday on the second floor of the hospital.

The trio is comprised of DeeDee (Lisa J. Lennox), Moe (Jonathan Wexler) and Rooney (Chad McNamara), who are candy-colored in appearance — pink, blue and orange/yellow, respectively.

"Doodlebops Live" premieres at 7 p.m. Friday, repeating at 11 a.m., 2 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and at 7 p.m. Monday.

Tickets are $55 for the first row; $14, $20, $30, $40 for other seats; $3 discounts for groups of 10 or more in lower price ranges.
