Barack Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, will be the featured speaker at a campaign rally for the Democratic presidential candidate here on Sunday.

The 2-4 p.m. event, sponsored by Kaua'i for Obama and the Kaua'i Democratic Party, will be held at the Kaua'i War Memorial Auditorium.

Event tickets will be available at the door for a suggested donation of $20. The building will open at 1:30 p.m.

Sen. Gary Hooser, D-Kaua'i-Ni'ihau, state Democratic Party chairman Brian Schatz and Andy Winer, chairman of the Hawai'i Obama campaign, will speak.

Guitarist Ron Toki, halau hula Nawahine O Kamaile and Willie K. will provide entertainment. Some Democratic candidates for Kaua'i mayor and County Council, which are nonpartisan offices, will be at the event to talk with constituents.
