National Day of Action volunteers needed in Wai'anae

Advertiser Staff

Organizers in Wai'anae for the first National Day of Action are looking for volunteers to help create the People's Path, a multi-use pathway, and help clear trash and debris from a beach on the Wai'anae Coast.

It's all part of a nationwide Day of Action in which hundreds of events will be staged across the country to demonstrate the impact that service has in communities.

In Wai'anae, activities run from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at 87-890 Farrington Highway. Volunteers can park at Nani Kai/Ulehawa Beach Park, across from the Ma'ili 76 gas station.

Refreshments will be provided. For more information or to volunteer, call 696-4677.
