7 robbed at gunpoint at Kalihi business

Advertiser Staff

Six men and a woman were robbed at gunpoint inside a closed lower Kalihi auto body or repair shop early this morning by three masked men, police said.

One of the suspects carried an Uzi pistol and the other two were armed with 9 mm pistols, police said. The men entered the closed business and ordered the victims to lie on the floor. The victims, who range in age from 32 to 57, were inside the business watching television, police said.

A small amount of cash was taken, said police Maj. Alan Bluemke. It is unknown if the the suspects and victims knew each other, Bluemke said.

The suspects ordered the group to empty their pockets and place the contents on the floor. The suspects scooped up the items and fled the scene. No arrests have been made and police have forwarded the case to the Honolulu Police Department Robbery Detail.
