The allure of Las Vegas was enough to draw Wai'anae's Laurene McFeeley into playing Pigskin Picks.

Hopefully, she can take her luck with her after this self-described nonsports fan won the Pigskin Picks contest and earned a trip for two to Las Vegas and $500.

"Honestly, I really don't know about football," said McFeeley, 45, a caregiver. "(If) I like the team, the name sounds good (that's how I pick). No strategy. I don't know college for beans."

Still, McFeeley picked 14 of 15 games correctly and won the total offensive yards tiebreaker.

Her only mistake was picking Indianapolis over Jacksonville. Like a handful of other games on the ballot that was decided on a made or missed field goal, the Colts lost when the Jaguars converted on a 51-yard field goal with seconds left.

"I was shocked," she said of her victory. "I was stoked. I was excited. I couldn't believe. I'm still stoked.

"My daughter called and said, 'Ma, take me.' I said, 'It's up to your father.' "

McFeeley already is planning to go to Las Vegas in three weeks with her husband and children.
