Weather: Sunny this morning, afternnon showers

Moderate trade winds will last into the night tonight before turning light an variable over the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Sea breezes and a convective weather pattern will result in afternoon clouds and isolated showers over the leeward and interior locations through Monday, forecasters said.

Weak cold front is expected to reach the islands Tuesday, increasing the chance for rain by midweek.

Trade winds are expected to return by Wednesday as the front dissipates over the islands.

Today: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 83. East wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Saturday: Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday Night: Isolated showers before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. East wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday: Scattered showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
