Soetoro-Ng to host Obama event in Kailua area

U.S. Sen. Barack Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, will host a final fundraising reception benefiting the Obama Victory Fund from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 42-104 Aleka Place in Norfolk Estates.

She is expected to address several issues including education.

The Rev. George W. Scott, Punahou School chaplain, will deliver the opening blessing and entertainment will include jazz pianist and vocalist David Swanson and funk/jazz/ R&B band The Answer.

Tickets are $100 per person, $500 for host, $250 for friend.
