Business registration office goes green

Advertiser Staff

The state's office that oversees business registrations will no longer automatically mail out paper copies of annual report forms starting Oct. 1.

The state Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Business Registration Division will only send out notice cards to filers of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships whose annual reports are due.

By going green and reducing the amount of paper int he mail, the department will save $24,000 a year.

The notice cards can be used by filers to electronically file online. Or a filer can locate the filing online and download it and mail it in.

Filers requesting mailed annual forms must call the division at 808 586-2727

For information on how to file online go to www.ehawaii.gov/annuals.
