No significant surf in today's forecast

Associated Press

The National Weather Service forecast for today calls for surf to be no larger than four feet around the Hawaiian Islands.

Surf will be 2 to 4 feet along east- and south-facing shores, 2 to 3 feet along north-facing shores with occasional 4-footers, and 1 to 2 feet along west shores with occasional 3-footers.

A larger north swell will arrive Tuesday and push surf to overhead heights along north facing shores through Thursday, the weather service said. There will also be a series of southerly swells through the forecast period, generating small surf along south facing beaches.
