How to find pending class-action lawsuits

Gannett News Service

If you want to find out whether a company has a securities class-action lawsuit filed against it, there's a Web site that can help you.

The Stanford Law School Securities Class Action Clearinghouse operates a helpful Web site (http://securities.stanford.edu/fmi/xsl/SCACPUDB/findrecords.xsl?-view)

that lets you look up everything you want to know about these suits. Just enter the name of the company into the Litigation Name field and click the Find Records button.

You'll then see all the references pertaining to that company.
