St. Francis Hospice and the Hawaii Donor Family Council offer a "Holiday Grief Workshop," 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Koolau Golf Club.

Topics for the one-day workshop include "In Memory of You" by Bernadette Baraquio, and "When Life Gives You Scraps, Let's Make Quilts" by Christa Freeze of St. Francis Hospice.

Cost: $50 ($65 after Oct. 5, includes lunch, refreshments and materials).
