NBA: Thunder send 2 rookies to D-League

Associated Press

OKLAHOMA CITY — Rookies Kyle Weaver and D.J. White have been assigned to the NBA Development League by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While it's the first time Weaver has been sent to the D-League, White has been shuttled back and forth between the Thunder and the Tulsa 66ers three times in recent weeks.

He was recalled before Oklahoma City's game Tuesday night at San Antonio before joining the 66ers a day later for their game in Austin.

The Thunder have been trying to get White extra playing time as he recovers from two jaw surgeries that kept him off the court for the first five months of the season.

The Thunder host Portland on Friday.
