Sunday's matinee of 'Caveman' to be signed for hearing impaired

Advertiser Staff

The Sunday matinee of "Defending the Caveman," showing at Hawai'i Theatre, will be interpreted for the hearing impaired by signer Jan Fried.

There is a $5 discount for the hearing impaired and companion. To facilitate tickets, the hearing impaired may email scottschmidtke@hawaii.rr.com.

Tickets are also at the Hawaii Theatre Box Office, 1130 Bethel Street, or by calling 528-0506 or go to www.hawaiitheatre.com.

"Defending the Caveman" stars Isaac Lamb in a funny — and accurate — one-man show that articulates the battle of the sexes. The comedy has the distinction of being the longest-running one-man show ever on Broadway. This is the first time the national tour has played Hawai'i.

The eight-show engagement opened Tuesday. Shows remaining are at 7:30 tonight, Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 and 7 p.m.

Tickets are priced from $31 to $46, with a $5 discount for students, seniors, military and Hawaii Theatre members.

Groups of 10 or more also may get the $5 discount by calling 791-1310.
