Hawaiian baritone joins symphony for weekend performances

Hawaiian baritone Quinn Kelsey will replace baritone David Adam Moore in the Honolulu Symphony's performances this weekend of Carl Orff's theatrical masterpiece "Carmina Burana."

The shows are at 8 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday at the Neal Blaisdell Center.

Moore is unable to participate because of illness, symphony officials said.

Korean soprano Sumi Jo, guest conductor Jean-Marie Zeitouni, tenor Brian Stucki, children from the Hawaii Youth Opera Chorus, and members of the University of Hawaii Chamber Singers will also join the orchestra and chorus.

Tickets $19, $26, $40, $52 and $70.

Military and seniors receive a 20 percent discount. Student tickets are $10.
