Hit 'Cain and Abel' makes way to Isles

By Jeff Chung

Hallyu star So Ji Sub returns to the small screen next week when the Korean drama "Cain and Abel" begins airing here.

Already a hit in South Korea, the 20-episode series features So Ji Sub ("I'm Sorry I Love You," aka "Misa") as Abel (Lee Cho-in) and Shin Hyun Joon as Cain (Lee Sun-woo). Chae Jung Ahn and Han Hi Min also star.

As the title suggests, "Cain and Abel" is a drama about sibling rivalry. Lee Sun-woo and Lee Cho-in, adoptive brothers and accomplished neurosurgeons, become rivals when the family's hospital is willed to the adopted Cho-in instead of biological son Sun-woo. Enraged, Sun-woo and his mother send Cho-in to China, where he saves a North Korean refugee and falls in love with her. He survives a murder attempt but amnesia forces him to piece his former life back together.
