LOCAL DESIGNERS SCORE AT WHOLE FOODS MARKET

Just in time for Earth Day, Whole Foods Market introduced two local T-shirt companies to their line of all-natural and organic clothing and accessories: Kealopiko from O'ahu and The Organik from the Big Island. Both lines feature tops for men and women.

Kealopiko is the creation of an O'ahu hui that describes itself as "three hapa wahine." Their silk-screened images are inspired by the natural, cultural and historical traditions of Hawai'i. The Organik features eco-friendly tops by cousins Ed Fernandez of Kailua, Kona, and Brian Jones of Seattle. Their current collection is called Threads from the Earth.
