MLB: Cheers! Dodgers lower price on drinks, including beer

Associated Press

LOS ANGELES — Fans can buy tickets, park and munch on Dodger Dogs for the same price as last season while paying less for beer and other concessions when the Los Angeles Dodgers host the San Francisco Giants in their home opener Monday.

Tickets for the all-you-can-eat pavilion in right field are being reduced from $35 to $25 for 70 of the team's 81 home games. The price includes unlimited hot dogs, nachos and soda.

Prices for soft drinks will be $3.75, down from $5; bottled water will be $3.75, down from $5.75; and beer will cost $6, down from $8, at concession stands.

Dodger Dogs and other food items will cost the same as last season.

"We want to make the game more accessible and more affordable," Dodgers chief executive Jamie McCourt said Friday.

The team already announced that ticket prices won't rise this season. Children's tickets start at $7 when purchased on game days and adult tickets start at $9 when bought in advance.

A free fan club for kids will be offered, and fans arriving by car will receive a free team publication. Also new are all-inclusive packages that include tickets, T-shirts, peanuts and parking starting at $99 for a family of three.
