MLB: Nationals' Harris leaves game with oblique injury

Associated Press

ATLANTA — Washington second baseman Willie Harris strained his left oblique running to first base in the third inning Sunday against the Atlanta Braves.

Alberto Gonzalez entered the game as a pinch-runner and remained in the game at second base.

Harris is listed as day to day, but the injury leaves the Nationals thin at his position.

They already were without second baseman Ronnie Belliard, who has not played since leaving Wednesday night's game at Florida with lower back tightness.

Manager Manny Acta said Sunday he has not discussed placing Belliard on the disabled list.
