Big Island Fire Department rescue crews have divers in the water today continuing the search for a spear fisherman from San Francisco who has been missing since Saturday morning.

The missing man, 49, was reported missing by his wife and diving partner Saturday at about 11 a.m. He and his partner had been spearfishing off Alii Drive in Kailua, Kona. Searchers yesterday found items that apparently belonged to the missing man. They searched until about 5 p.m. Saturday and resumed the search this morning.
